Did you know that the Finger Lakes trail passes right through Virgil? The Finger Lakes trail stretches from the New York/Pennsylvania Boarder near the Allegany State Park to the Catskill mountains, consisting of 562 miles.
Virgil Community Circle was founded in 2009 by Marge Hubbert. They meet on the first Monday of every month from September to June. The Town of Virgil has a very active Senior Citizen Club. They meet monthly at the Virgil Town hall for a potluck luncheon and a monthly meeting. They also go on trips. The seniors will travel to the Herkimer House and enjoy barbecue luncheon. There will be a chocolate demonstration and Erie Canal Cruise. The Bus will leave the Virgil Town Hall at 7:45 AM. The cost for the trip is $55 for members who have been to 6 meetings in the last year and $65 for all others. A $5 deposit is requested on sign up and rest of money is due by May 1. There will be a trip to the Waterfront at Silver Birches in Hawley , PA. Seniors will enjoy dinner and a play named "Legally Gray." Coffee and struesel will be provided upon arrival. The meal will be family style and provided after 11:30 AM. A snack will be provided before departure. The cost is $45 for members who have been to 6 meeting in the past year.
